Lose 20 Pounds in a Couple Months

So you want to lose 20 pounds in a couple months? Good for you. Weight loss can seem intimidating at first, but here I'll share with you some tips to make everything go a little smoother and get you into that perfect beach body faster than you though possible.

It's important to realize that everyone loses weight differently, so what works for some else won't necessarily work for you. But there are some underlining principals that all people share. I like to think of these as the daily habits of slim people. That's a key word, "daily habits", because weight loss is never about dieting. In fact, if everyone would completely drop the word dieting, are weight-loss success would skyrocket. This is because dieting is already set to fail before you even begin, and you rarely lose 20 pounds in a couple months with this attitude.

Dieting implies there is a time limit to your weight loss. How can you put a time limit on your weight loss? The body will lose weight in its own time, and there isn't much you can do about it. That rule number one, let go of the need for results.

The only thing we can control is what we do to lose weight. Focus on this, and the weight loss will come on its own. That's why I tell people to never weight themselves every morning looking for results. Most of us will just become discouraged and poof, there goes are diet plan. Instead think in terms of "what can I be doing right now to get the body I want."

Ok so we've briefly covered the mindset, what physical tips can we do to lose 20 pounds in a couple months?

Well it comes down to a simple formula that many of us would rather not hear.

Calories in - calories burned = weight loss/ weight gain.

Sure you might gain weight more easily with processed sugars and simple carbs, but these are secondary to this underlining formula. So it's important to not only eat healthier foods (never cut down on the amount of food you eat, never!) and raise our exercise levels.

Switching to healthier foods will keep your stomach full; tricking your body into thinking you're not losing calories. When you cut the amount of food you eat your body begins to worry you cannot find food (think of the caveman days our bodies are designed for) and starts to lower your metabolism. Great of you were a caveman who couldn't find food, not so much when you want to lose 20 pounds in a couple months.
