How to Lose Weight When Your Metabolism Is Shut Down

In order to lose weight with a slow metabolism, you will need to find a way that will speed up the metabolism. The best way to speed up your metabolism is running. It will make your metabolism faster, and it will make your weak health and muscles much stronger. If your muscles and health are strong, you will be able to burn more calories during the day. Anyway, running will make your day more exciting and more active. So here you will find three steps that will make the metabolism faster.

First, you need to start slowly. You should allow your body to adjust for the new life change. Therefore, you must start the exercise with slow speed running or briskly walking at the beginning. For example, you can choose to walk briskly for 5 minutes and run slowly for 1 minute. You should repeat it at least three times each day. It will be a great start for beginner. In this way you need to practice three days a week. After few weeks of training you can increase the time of running for 5 minutes to get closer to your weight loss goal.

Second step is your goal. How much weight do you want to lose? If your goal is more than 10 pounds, you will need to split it into smaller parts. For example, your goal is to lose 40 pounds of your weight. In order to reach this goal, you will need very long time. Therefore, you need to divide it by five. The result is 8 pounds. So your new goal is 8 pounds. It is much better goal than the goal of 40 pounds, isn't it? You won't be tired because it will be achieved within a few weeks. Thus, you will be motivated to lose even more excess weight.

Third, you will need a diary. If you don't have a diary, you should buy one. You need to write down everything you do in this diary. You will have to write four things such as how long you ran, how far you ran, what your mood was and how you felt after running. These things are very important to improve each additional day exercise. In this way you will find what you need to change to get much better results. If you don't change these things, you won't be able to enjoy your journey of weight loss.
