Total Weight Control

Why is it important to your health to be at your ideal weight, whether you need to lose, gain, or maintain your weight? Statistics show that over 70% of Americans are overweight and over a third are considered obese.

This has become an epidemic in our country leading to poor health and premature death for thousands of people every year. Doctors say that being 35 pounds plus overweight is the same as being diagnosed for breast cancer if you're a woman, or prostate cancer if you're a man. This is serious! The reason so many people need to lose weight is obvious, we have become a nation of fast food eaters and poor nutritional value dieters. We all need to get serious about losing weight and reaching and maintaining our ideal weight so we will be around to live to a ripe, healthy old age for our families. Overweight people die young!

There are many methods of losing weight, such as fad diets, injections by a Doctor, liposuction, and other types of surgeries. We can certainly choose one of those methods, but the good news is we don't need to go those routes. A good program will include healthy, natural ways to both lose weight and get good nutrition while we're doing it. This will enable you to get to your healthy, ideal weight and maintain it naturally, and without hunger or cravings. You will be allowed to eat your favorite foods without guilt or cheating, feeling healthy and energetic.

It is also a great help to have a personal coach who will keep you interested and motivated, as well as helping you monitor your progress and holding you accountable. We can always use a little "push" when we're on a weight control program.

Last but not least, when considering any weight loss program, it's a good idea to listen to people who have tried the methods you are considering and have had success doing so. Look for someone with a similar situation as yourself, so that you can emulate them. Listen to their story and know that you too can achieve your goal.

And speaking of your goal, be specific as to the weight you want to achieve, and what the results will be, such as fitting into a particular dress or outfit. Cut out some pictures of people who are wearing the size clothing that you want to eventually fit into and review these pictures often to keep you focused and motivated.
