Women today all want to know: "How do I lose weight fast?" It seems like it's becoming the in thing to be on a diet these days. We all want to look good and be healthy. If you follow the right diet and exercise plan you will not only look good but it helps to prevent heart disease, diabetes, and some cancers.

If you want to lose weight and keep it off avoid fad diets. You may lose weight at first with these diets they are bad for your health and you can't stay on them forever. When you return back to your normal diet you will gain back all the weight you lost. You may even gain more weight than when you started.

The first thing you need to do is set goals. Then you need to have a plan to achieve those goals. If you don't write down a plan to achieve your goals it's almost sure you are going to fail because you have no way to measure your progress. If you fail to meet your goal, don't quit. Keep trying to achieve it. You can't fail if you don't quit.

You need to develop an exercise plan. The fact is that you can't lose weight if you don't burn more calories than you take in. I know that it can seem like there is no time in your day to do this but it's necessary. If nothing else try getting up a half hour to an hour earlier to accomplish it. When you first start take it easy. Don't try to get super fit right away. Work into it gradually that way you will stick with it.

Tell your friends and family what you are trying to do. They will all want what's best for you and will help and encourage you to accomplish your goals. They'll also help stop you from overeating.

Eat at home whenever possible. Cook your own food that way you know what is in it. You know that somebody else didn't add extra ingredients that add calories and no nutritional value.

Take time and play with your kids. It's fun for both you and your children. It's also good exercise for both of you. You can burn a lot of calories trying to keep up with them. You also get to enjoy quality time with them.
